Advertising through the Cottam United Church (CUC) Facebook (FB) page for events and content related to CUC and its mission is available to our church community. All advertising through FB will be handled by a member of the Social Media and Technology Committee (SMT). We reserve the right to forward any FB post request to the Church Board, for approval, if we believe it is contrary to CUC’s mission.
Images / Artwork and Additional Files
Any image/artwork, if available, must be attached to this form. If you do not have an image file, or the image is deemed of unfit quality or content, one will be chosen by a SMT Committee member. Any image/artwork uploaded must adhere to all copyright laws. Please allow a minimum of 7 days for a post to be published.
Boosting the Post
Advertising through FB is a free service. However, there are options to “boost/pay” for your ad to reach more people. FB charges a fee to boost which automatically charges the church’s credit card, due to this prior approval from the finance committee is required. In general FB charges are based on a predetermined budget which you decide how much you want to spend each day and for how many days. An example is our Turkey dinner where we spend up to $5.00 per day for about 6 weeks (42 days). Therefore $5 x 42 days = $210. This is a generalization, however we hope it makes the point.
