Saturday March 15th - 9:00 - 11:30 at the church.
The “Entering a New System” module is part of the United Fresh Start program, designed to support healthy pastoral relationships during leadership transitions. It emphasizes that congregations function as dynamic systems, where new leadership impacts community equilibrium.
This module equips new ministry personnel and lay leaders with tools to navigate a congregation’s unique history, culture, and expectations. By understanding existing patterns, power dynamics, and unspoken norms, leaders can make informed decisions and foster meaningful connections.
Encouraging reflection and dialogue, the module invites all congregation members to share experiences, discuss past challenges, and set mutual expectations. This engagement builds trust, aligns visions, and strengthens community bonds.
At our church, Rev. Paul Browning will lead this program, beginning with light refreshments and fellowship at 9:00 AM. Through music, prayer, and engaging activities, Paul will guide us in exploring the module’s themes in a dynamic and interactive way. The session will conclude by 11:30 AM.
Additionally, the module highlights adaptability and continuous learning. Leaders are encouraged to remain open to feedback, observe responses to change, and adjust their approach to ensure a smooth transition.
Ultimately, the module helps new leaders thoughtfully integrate into congregations, fostering healthy relationships, inclusivity, and a shared sense of purpose.
